Misty Mountain Natural hair and skin products now available at Kettle Falls Foods
Misty Mountain Products, created in Kettle Falls are now available at Kettle Falls Foods and Patches, in Colville.
The vision of the company is to create natural products that are based on the medicinal and healing properties of essential oils. No fragrance oils are used. Only pure 100% unadulterated essential oils are used. Gloria J. Geary, founder of Misty Mountain Products, studied with Kurt Schnaubelt, a German chemist who founded Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy in San Francisco.
Combining her love of all things that inspire our olfactory senses, she developed a line of natural products after burning her eyelid with a harsh commercial moisturizer. “There is evidence that using chemical-laden products on our bodies has a cumulative effect”, states Gloria. “Our products are SLS free. Sodium laurel sulfate is the main culprit in harsh commercial floor cleaners and is known to cause harm to the eyes. Unfortunately, SLS is in many commercial shampoos, conditioners and body creams that people use everyday. Another example is Alpha Hydroxy Acid; skin care products that contain AHA exfoliate not only dead skin cells, but the skin’s protective barrier as well. Long-term skin damage may result from its use. We’re appealing to the discriminating consumer who desires to care for their skin and hair without chemicals”.
There is quite a selection at Kettle Falls Foods. It includes natural shampoos with names like “Lavender-Myrtle” and “Lemon-Grapefruit. Body care products include “Rose and Lavender Body Crème”, “Peppermint-Lemon Foot Cream” and “Jasmine Massage & Bath Oil” to name a few. “Massage oils are great to use in the bath or as a personal fragrance”, states Gloria. “Did you ever get stuck in an elevator with someone and their cloud of perfume?” “Our perfume oils are very subtle. They mix with the person’s own personal body chemistry and emanate naturally from the body.” Perfume oils and bath oils are a large part of Misty Mountain’s business. Custom pine cone baskets and Olive oil-based soaps with Jasmine and Lavender are also available.
Misty Mountain Products strives to provide the very latest information and utilize the healing properties and natural antiseptic qualities found in essential oils. Also, the products smell great!
